Oh What a Night!

The .ORG Impact Awards were celebrated in Washington DC last night at the historic Watergate Hotel.  It was a great event, where Nominees and attendees had the opportunity to mingle and speak with other Finalists from Nonprofits having an impact on people’s lives, not just across the country, but often times all across the world.

No, we did not win THE award, but Music Sweet Music, Inc. felt special that the judges thought our work was worthy of recognition, and that is pretty awesome. We felt appreciated and valued for the work that we do.   It was a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on the good work that not only MSM’s Music Therapists are doing in our community, but it gave us the opportunity to talk about music therapy to other organizations.

The hostess for the evening was Amy Landino, an entrepreneur, speaker, author and popular web-host.  Amongst the guest speakers and award winners, an inspiring acceptance speech was given by 2019 OIA Honoree Winner, TV and Broadway Actor and Philanthropist Taye Digg co-founder of abroaderway.org
